We’re pleased to showcase Culture 4 A Cause's community arts initiative for an evening of music, history, and exemplary videographyWe'll showcase His Truth is Marching On, a short musical documentary film, and a music video of John Brown's Body, 2022 Mix—a remake of the popular civil war song written about Torrington-born abolitionist John Brown. Event schedule: 6:00 p.m. opening reception with finger food, wine, beer, and soft drinks.7:00 p.m. Dr Louis A DeCaro Jr. on John Brown’s passion for equality7:15 p.m. musical documentary: His Truth Is Marching On7:45 p.m. Dr Gabriel Löfvall, of Chorus Angelicus on American music history8:00 p.m. Music Video: John Brown's Body, 21st century remix8:15 p.m. closing reception: coffee and cookies, meet the artists.Admission is free, private donations are enthusiastically encouraged.
