Oak Strength will be hosting a Charity Team Throwdown on Saturday, OCTOBER 1, 2022. Teams of two men and two women will compete in a fun fitness competition...with the winner being the LOVES PARK FIRE & POLICE DEPARTMENTS!!! The service men and women of our LOVES PARK area (and in all other areas) serve our communities humbly and willingly. They put their lives and time on the line to keep us safe but they are not thanked nearly enough. We want to say thank you to them for all that they do. Oak Strength cares about their surrounding community and we know that if we all get together we can make a huge difference for the LOVES PARK FIRE & POLICE DEPARTMENTS. Please participate to support them, their departments, and overall the community. This event is for our service men and women, they are the true winners! Prizes: You're all winners but the short answer is YES! WORKOUTS: 5 Different workouts. 4 Main workouts, and one Floater Workout. Check them out BELOW! Who: AWESOME PEOPLE AGE >16 years old! Check in will Start at 7:30AM and event will kick off around 8:30AM. There will be vendors, food, great prizes, and great people. Come kick butt and support our local fire and police. Early-Bird Pricing - $200/Team of 4 - First 20 teams, ends August 31 Late-Bird Pricing - $240/Team of 4 ------------------------------------------------------------------ Sweat For Badges 2022 ***Disclaimer - everything is subject to change:)*** Team of 4 - 2 Male, 2 Female “CHIEFS” (harder) and “PROBEES” (easier) divisions ------------------------------------------------------------------ Floater Workout - ON THE FARM Athletes will have (1) attempt to carry (2) farmers handles MAX distance. Probees - 75#/55# per hand Chiefs - 115#/75# per hand ------------------------------------------------------------------ Event #1 - THE COMPLEX In pairs (male/male & female/female), athletes will be given a barbell and a truck load of weight and in 7 minutes will have to find a 1 rep max of the following complex: 3 Deadlifts 1 Hang Power Clean 3 Jerk and/or Push Press ***once the bar is picked up it can not be put down until the ENTIRE complex is complete. You may try as many times as you would like but only the heaviest fully completed complex is recorded the final score. Your team's score is the sum of all 4 maxes. ------------------------------------------------------- Workout #2 - DEADBIKE - 6 Minute AMRAP Male Partners - Athlete #1 starts on the bike, Athlete #2 on the deadlift bar. At the call of 3, 2, 1, Go, Athlete #2 picks up the deadlift bar and Athlete #1 begins to ECHO Bike. Athlete #1 continues to Bike (for calories) until Athlete #2 puts the bar down. When Athlete #2 puts the bar down the athletes must switch positions. THE BIKE MAY ONLY BE PEDALLED WHEN DEADLIFTER HAS THE BAR LOCKED OUT AT THE TOP. Your score is the most amount of calories BIKED. Females will be doing the same with their separate bike and barbell. Deadlift Bar Probees - 135#/85# Cheifs - 225#/135# Summary - The longer you are able to hold the bar at the top of the deadlift the more and faster your partner can bike. You lose lots of time in transition! ------------------------------------------------------- Event #3 - ROW, LITTER & RUN Row as a team 2000M - everyone must row at least 100M 400M Litter Carry - Every Athlete must be carried 100M 400M Slamball Run - one athlete at a time Athletes will team row a 2000M (1 rower alternate as needed but every athlete must row at least 100M. Once 2000M is rowed, athletes will carry 1 athlete 100M on the litter, switch athletes and carry another 100M, switch athletes and carry another then switch and carry the final athlete 100M) Once every member has been carried 100M each (400M total) then athletes will run one at a time (relay style) a 400M while holding a 20# medball. You can determine the order of your relay. Your score is the time it takes to complete 2000M Row, 4x100M litter carry, and 4 x 400M medball run. ----------------------------------------------------------------- THE FINALE Prowler Redemption As a team of 4 Female #1 30M Prowler Push Down and Back Male #1 30M Prowler Push Down and Back Female #2 30M Prowler Push Down and Back Male #2 30M Prowler Push Down and Back X 3 Rounds Probees - 100#/50# Chiefs - 180#/90#
