Thank you for your consideration in attending the 2022 Mexican Gala in Indianapolis brought to you by the Asociacion de Mujeres Mexicanas en Indiana! Our goal is to serve the Latinx community with basic needs and also with health and education. Our team continues to see a need in the community and we are returning to this work as the Latinx community continues to grow exponentially. There are not enough Latinx serving organizations in Indianapolis so therefore we wish to continue with the mission of serving this important and growng population. This year our event will be held on Friday, September 16th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m at the Grand Hall located at 400 N High School Rd, Indianapolis, IN 46214. The Mexican Consulate of Indianapolis has been following the work of Mujeres Mexicanas and they understand the present needs of the community. For this reason they have joined our efforts and are our partners of this gala. Our desire is to share with the community our Mexican culture, Mexico's arts and our culinary cuisine. The goal of this event is to raise funds to continue our work in the Latino community focused on eliminating domestic violence, hosting educational and citizenship classes, supporting survivors of sexual violence, community engagement and mobilization, creating a parent support program, and creating a Latina Leadership (a program that will facilitate women's leadership development and community activism). In the future we will create a clothing closet for survivors of violence and a food pantry for our community with culturally appropriate foods.
