Beyond Visionary is inviting YOU to join the HEAL AMERICA movement by participating in INFORM Dallas. Admission is FREE! This is a critical time to have important conversations that promote peace, healing, and resilience in neighborhoods highly impacted by violence and crime through trauma awareness and understanding. Community members, along with some of the most prominent community leaders, influencers, experts, and organizations will come together in this forum to share perspectives and ideas that will help us BUILD A TRAUMA-INFORMED CITY THROUGH CONNECTION, COMPASSION, and COMMUNICATION. A trauma-informed city is a city that: recognizes the prevalence of adverse experiences/trauma among all people recognizes that many behaviors and symptoms are the result of traumatic experiences recognizes that being treated with respect and kindness and being empowered with opportunity and choices are key to helping people recover from traumatic experiencesrecognizes the need to respond to trauma across various care delivery and program settings And we accomplish this through CONNECTION, COMPASSION, & COMMUNICATION.
