Children’s Defense Fund-Texas is convening faith and community leaders to prioritize child well-being as a spiritual discipline. As communities of faith engage in the movement for justice, Faith in Action invites leaders to fulfill this calling through CDF’s proven, evidence-based programs. Leaders will: hear from CDF President & CEO Rev. Dr. Starsky Wilson and other CDF leaderslearn about the urgent issues Texas children are facingre-imagine what it looks like to improve children’s lives year-round, such as through celebrating the Children’s Sabbath, attending the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute, and sponsoring CDF Freedom Schools® in Texas.We hope you will attend this inaugural luncheon and help us activate local leaders to change the odds for Texas children!
