Description

On your 2.5 hour Farm & Forest Immersion, you will be offered guided prompts, or “invitations”, that tap into all your senses. You will experience a combination of sitting, walking, and meandering over about a half mile of easy to moderate terrain. The guided invitations encourage mindfulness and range from contemplative to playful interaction with nature. Experience a journey to stillness of your own along with an opportunity to share your experience with other participants. Take in the peaceful beauty of the land at Scott Farms and connect to the life surrounding our shared food. Forest immersion–-or "forest bathing" as translated literally from "shinrin-yoku"--is an established public health practice in Japan. It is a growing global wellness movement backed by more than 30 years of scientific research on the physical and psychological benefits of immersing yourself in nature. Come discover this natural remedy for stress, depression, anxiety, and high blood pressure, and boost your immune system, creativity, focus and energy! Registration includes tea and apple samples for all participants. You are welcome to stay on the grounds after the event concludes. Enjoy the amazing stone walls and sculpture by The Stone Trust, historic buildings, hiking, and treats from the Scott Farm Orchard Farm Store. Space is limited to keep group size small and advance registration is required to reserve your spot. This event is offered by Amanda Kenyon with Landkind Guide.
