Description

Bonsai is an art form that takes place over a long period of time. This workshop will deal with establishing a plant and plan for shaping them over a 4–6-month period. .This session will be the Ficus "Too Little", a miniature version of the Ficus Benjamina. Ficus are a popular genus for bonsai, with this variety being specialized for this exact reason. The leaves are much smaller, making it an immediately satisfying dwarf. It also does well in a houseplant setting. The second portion of our workshop offered is for anyone who has a bonsai they would like to bring in. A ficus, schefflera, or mystery plant you've been thinking could use some sprucing up. We will advise the best care and styling in a group setting so everyone can learn. We will clip grown foliage and readjust wire at this time. This part of the event starts at 6:30 but all are welcome to sit in at 5:30pm. You can also send update pictures or questions to instructor’s email [email protected] at any time. Included in the session is 1 6” bonsai pot of preferred style and color, 1 bonsai plant, wire materials, and bonsai soil.
