The George H. White Bar Association, an association organized in 1962 by African-American attorneys in Durham County, is pleased to announce:
The Annual Scholarship and Recognition Banquet to honor “Durham’s Dedicated.”
The George H. White Bar Association will present scholarships to deserving NCCU School of Law students, including the recipient of the C.C. “Buddy” Malone Scholarship for Trial Advocacy. Additionally, the Association will honor two members of the George H. White Bar, Antoinette Burwell and John R. Griffin, III for their commitment to and years of service in the Durham community.
The George H. White Bar Association’s legacy is filled with a deep commitment to Black lawyers in Durham County and beyond. This scholarship banquet enables us to pay homage to trailblazers in our community, invest in area law school students, and sponsor efforts that enhance the pillars of our association. Please consider purchasing an ad for the souvenir booklet to help support our efforts.
