Ascot Hills is 5 minutes from downtown LA with some great photo ops, especially during sunset. The workshop session begins a half-hour in advance of sunset for your DPA instructor to discuss a variety of photo strategies from pre-sunset lighting to sunset and blue light post-sunset. Each offers its own special advantages. This workshop also allows you to hone in on landscape photography amid the green hills of Ascot Hills. Your DPA instructor will help you consider a variety of composition approaches, from Rule of Thirds with the scene dominated by the sky or maybe a more symmetrical approach where the greenery is the main element of the story. Immediately following blue hour, your instructor will introduce you to the magic of Light Painting. Be amazed as you capture images of light and color while your light painter and model perform their spectacular light artistry. You will be guided through the camera set up process and provided assistance when needed. Please note – if a class must be cancelled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control we will be happy to work with you to reschedule or provide a refund. However, if you should need to cancel or require a new class date, contact us. A $25 transfer fee will be imposed without a 3 day notice before the scheduled class.
