Japanese Taiko drumming is a dynamic musical art form grounded in core aspects of martial arts and percussion. There is nothing like it! Participants will learn basic technique, history and etiquette of taiko. The workshop is hands on with everyone playing and learning an original composition. It is a great physical and mental workout plus it is so much fun! This format is a class geared to older adults or those with less mobility. It is a great workshop to get energized and enrich your body, mind and spirit while participating in this culturally rich art form. Price is $30. Pre-registration is required to reserve a drum.
