Are you a former speech and debate competitor? Or perhaps you always wished you had the chance? Come hear about the MN Urban Debate League, a program of Augsburg University that provides academic competitive debate programming for over 1,000 students in the Twin Cities metro area and how you can get involved. There are lots of ways to be part of our community, even if you don't have the time to coach or judge at tournaments! Enjoy a drink and snacks at Sociable Cider Werks (on us!), and learn how you can get involved. This is our second event to get our Advocates for Debate Board initiative off the ground. This time, our focus is on celebrating the Minnesota speech and debate community while creating greater local connections. Join us and connect with leaders and passionate community members from various fields like legal, business, education, non-profit, and public service. We all have the same goal; to empower and educate students through the transformative process of debate. Event Details Date: Tuesday, August 23rd, 2022 Time: 4:30 - 6:30 pm (short program at 5:30 pm).
