FEED THE CULTURE foodways exhibit will feature four documentaries from womxn and BIPOC filmmakers that explore how food meets culture. Arkansas Soul Media will wrap up its FEED THE CULTURE foodways exhibit on its closing night, Saturday August 6th, where we will screen four documentary films from Womxn and BIPOC that explore foodways in Northwest Arkansas, the state and surrounding regions. Curated by celebrated documentary filmmaker Colleen Thurston, this screening event will feature the following filmmakers and influencers: Jeremy Tran & Shane White, Neba Evans, Andy Sarjahani and Brooke Bierhaus. The closing night exhibit will include food , artwork from the Feed the Culture exhibit, a sound booth to record food memories, access to the Commons bar and some jams from DJ ALSPINS on the ones and twos. --- There is one more week to enjoy the artwork for the Feed the Culture exhibit in Springdale at 214 by CACHE (214 S. Main). In this indoor exhibit space, we highlight food memories, cherished recipes and all the ways food becomes part of culture -- all the way up to Saturday, August 6!
