About The Dream Center of Baldwin County The Dream Center of Baldwin County is a non-profit organization located in Foley, Alabama and serves all of Baldwin County. The Dream Center is a place where at-risk youth ages 13-18 can begin to rebuild and transform their lives with the help of caring volunteers and counselors. Dream Center teachers and counselors assist students with their educational needs, providing help with homework and school projects. It is our goal for every participant to experience the gratification of educational success. But the Dream Center’s objectives are not limited to high school success. We also help participants prepare for the work force, gain employment or internships, and even apply for college and financial aid. The Dream Center provides clothing as needed, a food pantry, as well as financial assistance for other outlets including community sports or other recreational activities. The Dream Center provides transportation to lessons or outings to the movies or the beach, things most kids in our society take for granted but for many kids in our community, are not “normal” experiences. We use as many tools as possible to keep participants from giving up and quitting life. We strive to restore their belief in society and trust in adults, law enforcement, and people in general. The Dream Center offers these tools and various programs, all free of charge. The Dream Center partners with Juvenile Justice and area schools to help break cycles of abuse, victimization, and criminality. Though we provide class tutoring and financial and life skills training, The Dream Center’s focus is diversion, which is an intervention approach that redirects youth away from formal processing in the juvenile justice system, while still holding them accountable for their actions. We offer our participants hope and teach them that yes, dreams can come true, that they do have a future, and that they do not have to be stuck forever in their current situation. The Dream Center is a 501c3 and is 100% funded by donations from people and businesses in our community so please consider giving financially to this worthwhile cause by clicking the Take Action button at the top of our home page on our website, www.dreamcenterbaldwincounty.com or by contacting us directly. The Dream Center’s mission is crucial and critical for the health and wellbeing of Baldwin County kids, families, and for the future of our community.
