The Word is Bond community showcase is a celebration of the hard work of our summer ambassadors over our seven-week Rising Leaders internship program. This summer's theme is If I Ruled the World. The Community Showcase will take palce at New Song Community Church on Friday, August 5 from 4:30pm to 7pm. This year's Community Showcase will take an exciting new direction and feature an interactive exhibit of artwork and storytelling projects around the theme, If I Ruled the World. It will culminate with a portrait reveal of our If I Ruled the World portrait series! This summer's program included workshops around leadership, meditation, acting, public speaking, as well partipation of 10 officers from 9 agencies The exhibit opens at 4:30 pm, the portrait reveal will take place at 5:30, and the traditional program will begin at 5:45 pm. This is a festive event with a splash of formal. Dresses, ties, and collard shirts are a common affair at our community showcase. Light refreshments and treats will be served. Please join family, freinds, community and elected leaders in celebrating a powerful summer of leadership and Black excllence!
