Please apply here: ------- Rondo Energy is deploying high performance, low-cost, zero carbon heat batteries to enable greater penetration of renewable energy and to decarbonize industrial processes. The Rondo Heat Batteries (RHBs) provide high temperature, continuous heat charged from intermittent power safely, reliably and at a cost point that is lower than any other method. We have immediate openings for Temporary Manufacturing Technicians to support production of the core components of the Rondo Heat Battery. This is a contract role expected to last 6-8 weeks. Perks for this temporary position includes: - $1,000 stay bonus if employed on the final day of the assignment - Rondo Energy will consider assistance with housing if traveling from outside of the Bay Area - Potential for contract-to-hire ------- Responsibilities: - Follow all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times when required - Protect safety to the person, equipment and facilities - Follow processes carefully as directed to perform manufacturing tasks, such as using machinery to mix cement-like materials with the correct quantities of ingredients, pouring cement-like materials into custom molds, using tools to take and record measurements, entering data into software programs, recording start and end times of processes, moving parts from one process to the next, using custom equipment to create parts, and packaging finished parts. - Maintain an organized and safe facility - Safely operate common machine shop tools to fabricate parts - Other tasks as directed ------- Qualifications: Have great attention to detail Good communication skills Experience working safely with common machine shop tools, power tools and heavy equipment desired Certification and experience operating heavy equipment, such as forklifts, is desired Able to lift up to 50 lbs Able to work in a team environment Experience supervising a construction or manufacturing crew is desirable ------- The position will be based in Hayward, California.
