Description
REHOMING Craigslist email return response hasn’t been working. He’s a 4yo king gsd. He’s gentle, thoughtful, affectionate, intelligent- can solve any puzzle; funny, playful, intuitive and kind.He knows eye commands, body language, hand commands and rarely needs language. He’s also neuro autistic with very specific ptsd triggers. He has certain triggers that cause him extreme anxiety. Taking trash out (sensory sound); any indication you’re leaving. He’s 100 percent ok once you’ve left. It’s the trigger of preparing to leave: opening drawers, shoes, coat, keys. Redirections for these triggers work when he’s solo. He screams. Heightened anxiety state. Lasts 1-3 mins. Behavioral therapy worsened the anxiety. He will self correct if you’re calm. Trazadone as prn. **Other dogs do NOT enjoy this. They will turn on him. He is very reluctant to defend himself with aggression though he’s fully capable. He needs a calm loving human. Preferably one who works at home. He runs 2-3x a day 15 mins or one long session but he will not run alone. He will not leave your side. He will not go hang out in your backyard. His eyes are firmly locked on you. He’s happy to share you but he’s watching. No threats breach the perimeter. He is ** not aggressive. He will let you know there’s a threat and wait for guidance unless it’s an immediate threat. Yes he knows the difference and responds appropriately. He’s been raised w other dogs; after being rescued. He’s never been alone. Unless your other dog is a puppy or tolerant of anxiety episodes: it’s not a good fit. Other male dogs run out of tolerance. No kennels. Travels well. Zero in home incidents. Leash- rarely need it. He knows what to do. He’s been on multiple rover walks. He prefers laser tag, hiking, and jumps. On cameras, we’ve seen him unlock doors, check perimeters, reenter and relock the doors. You need to be intelligent too. Email inquiries only. ******Rehoming ***** conditions: include having a large yard. No. We are not ok with rehoming him.
