Description

The Michaels Organization in partnership with the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles will be developing a new park called Century Gateway Park. It will be a 0.62-acre urban park near the intersection of East Century Boulevard and Grape Street. The park will include local and drought tolerant plants, a picnic and BBQ area, and the planting of 35 trees. The park is the companion project to Freedom Tree Park, together the Century Gateway Parks. This project achieves environmental benefits in Watts rendered through an interconnected network of greenspaces encompassing the area with an urban canopy and greenspace.
