The MLK Back to School Festival is an annual event for students of all ages and their families to receive free backpacks, school supplies, and other essential items for the new school year. Our goal this year is to serve 1000 families. You must register to participate. No walkups will be allowed-you must be in a car to receive items! Saturday, August 13, 2022 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center 2922 Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard Dallas, TX 75215 ------------------------------------- El Festival MLK de Regreso ala Escuela es un evento annual para los estudiantes de todas las edades y sus familias para que reciban mochilas, utiles escolares y otras cosas esenciales para el año escolar. Nuestra meta este año es servir 1,000 familias. Nesecita registrarse para participar. No aceptaremos personas caminando, TODOS nesecitan venir en carro para recivir sus utiles. No ID is required. Students must be in grades Pre-K to12th grade. You can register up to 5 children. Registration begins July 25, 2022. ------------------------------------- REGISTRACION Registracion es gratis y es requerido asistir al festival. No se nesecita Identificacion. Los estudiantes nesecitan estar en grado Pre-k a grado 12. Puede registrar asta 5 niños Registracion comienza el 25 de Julio, 2022. ------------------------------------- DONATE If you are interested in donating supplies, please deliver them to the Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center, Monday-Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.. COMMUNITY PARTNERS Opportunities are available for Community Partners to register and participate at no cost. Community Partners will receive one (1) table and two (2) chairs, and are encouraged to bring a canopy or tent. Items for distribution must pre-packaged to be placed in trunks as cars drive by.
