Please Read This Important Message! The Texas Level IV – Personal Protection Officer Training Course is a Texas Department of Public Safety - Private Security Program required course in order to apply for a Texas Personal Protection Officer Security License. This 15+ Hour Course meets all training requirements needed for licensure. Tuesday and Wednesday 8:00 am (08:00) to 6:00 pm (18:00) and costs $300.00. Notice: Students are not permitted to bring loaded firearms into the training room. Lockers are available for safe storage during the day. (We do not recommend keeping firearms in your vehicle) You must bring your own lock to secure the locker. The price includes: Classroom FeeLevel IV Certificate of Completion Please bring to class: Your state I.D. or Driver’s License,Black pen & paper for notesWe encourage students to wear athletic clothing (Long Pants and Long Shirt)What to do after the class: Register on TOPS as a Personal Protection OfficerPass an MMPI exam from a Texas State Certified PsychologistSubmit all forms to DPS on TOPSFull tuition must be paid prior to the start of the course. The non-refundable deposit to hold your spot will only be refunded once a full payment ticket is purchsed on the site or by paying cash at the office no later than the Friday prior to the start of class. If you are paying in cash for the course, payment must be received by 5:00 pm the Friday before. Business Checks accepted if sponsored (Sorry no personal Checks) Deposits are forfeited if class is not attended for the dates selected. Refunds: Attendees can receive refunds up to 30 days before the initial registered course start date. Within 30 days prior to class, you may reschedule for a maximum of 2 times.
