The Miami/Fort Lauderdale 48 Hour Film Project is back! And this is your chance to see the world premiers of short films created by some of South Florida's finest homegrown talent-all made between Friday July 29 - Sunday, July 31! You, the audience will vote for the Audience Fave at the screening! Other awards, such as best acting, best directing, and including "BEST OF MIAMI/FORT LAUDERDALE" will be awarded by our esteemed panel of judges. The Miami/Fort Lauderdale 48HFP is the oldes filmmaking competition, and once again the big winner will screen with other city winners from around the globe for the honor of 'The Best of 2022", and has a chance of screening at the Cannes Film Festival. That's right, all films entirely written, shot, and edited in 48 hours. And to keep our filmmakers on their toes, we made them incorporate a character, prop and line of dialogue that were assigned just prior to the start of filmmaking and made them use an assigned genre! Although the Miami/Fort Lauderdale 48HFP is officially a competition, it is primarily a community event and provides a unique opportunity for the local filmmaking community to gather, reconnect, and support each other's efforts. We are especially excited to announce that Budget Video will be sponsoring us again this year, and we look forward to connecting filmmakers and actors.
