Hello, I am in search of a mellow cat who needs to be re-homed. I am a nurse who lives by myself and I work 12 hour shifts. I live in a small apartment. I treat my pets like my family. He or she will be treated like royalty. In order for this to work, the cat will need to be able to deal with me being gone for about 13 hours a few days a week (night shift). That means not demolishing my home or being anxious/ depressed by my absence. I also need to sleep during the day. Of course there will understandably be a period of getting acquainted with me and the new environment. Ideally the cat would be older and like to sleep. I’ve experienced great losses recently and am seeking the companion of a new fur baby. While it would be alone with entertainment and toys, etc. i figure it’s better than being in the kennel or out on the street. I don’t have the emotional bandwith to care for a high-needs / medically complex animal at this time. If this sounds like something that may work for your baby, let me know and we can set up a meeting to make sure it works. Also, I have had small dogs (pug, frenchie) RIP ;-( but not owned a cat as an adult, though we had many cats growing up. The cat will be kept strictly indoors. I know what it’s like to lose a pet. I know there are some animals out there who are really needing a new home despite their owners’ best intentions. To save time and energy for all, I want to make sure this will be a great fit. I have no problem paying a rehoming fee and would appreciate some of the items etc the cat is used to and comforted by.
