Description

My neighbor moved last year and sold me 2 52# bags of dried Kal Kan dog food that have been sitting in my tack room ever since. I forgot about them until recently. It's way past time for me to dispose of them since I do not need them now! Can anyone out there use them? The "best to use by date" was 6 months ago but I am assuming all is ok since it's dried food. Kal Kan is an extremely old dog food brand that has been in operation since 1936. Back then, Kal Kan sold dog food made from horse meat. Kal Kan is now owned by Mars Petcare which also owns other well-known brands like Crave, Royal Canin, Pedigree, Iams, Eukanuba, and more.I believe the brand Kal Kan dog food is now formulated under the Pedigree dog food name. Both brands were/are subsidiaries of Mars, Inc and in researching the Kal Kan name I learned it was soon to be scraped. I believe it has been rebranded as Pedigree dog food. Kal Kan used to be sold on Amazon and at Walmart...in addition to other places. Walmart had it listed for $30.88 a bag.
