WOBURN, MA — A new hot chicken spot will come to Woburn this week with the opening of Dave's Hot Chicken in the Woburn Village mall. Opening day is set for Friday. "Get there early because lines are going to be insane," the chain wrote on its Facebook page on Monday. Dave's Hot Chicken got its start in California as a pop-up cart in 2017. It quickly drew attention, expanding into brick-and-mortar franchises across the country. The restaurants offer a menu focused on signature hot chicken and promising spice levels from "no spice" to "reaper." Dave's offers an additional slate of sides and drinks. The chain previously opened its first Massachusetts location in Newton in April of this year. Its expansion to Woburn now comes as the brand eyes at least seven other new sites across the country, according to its website. Dave's Hot Chicken in Woburn will be located at 300 Mishawum Rd, Suite 400.
