Description

Hi! I got ChiChi five months ago from a family member who told me she was vicious. When I found her she was in a room by herself - locked up - her litter pan overflowing and unclean, her cage had random feces soaked chews all over and an igloo that was absolutely disgusting. I moved the igloo and she flew to the other side of the cage, she puffed at me, but she looked downright awful- there was no possible way she could have scared me. Her hair was matted and her skin looked as if it had been suctioned to her bones. I took her, feeling disheartened about the circumstances she’d been living in. I’ve since removed most if not all the mats and helped her gain back some weight, but it’s not in her best interest to keep her here as I don’t have prior experience with chinchillas and I’m aware I can’t give her the attention and dedication she needs. She’s still skittish and territorial with new people, but I feel like the right person could really turn her around and enjoy her uniqueness and energy.
