Our band is looking for a new bass player. Our current one will be leaving in the fall to pursue his academics, and we’re hoping to find his replacement soon so we can keep booking shows beyond Sept. We’re a funk band that plays a mix of originals and covers. Some of our influences are: Prince, Anderson.Paak, Stevie Wonder, and Vulfpeck. We typically rehearse once a week in St. John’s, and try to gig about 1-3 times a month. We all have day jobs and lives, so we’re mainly looking to have fun, but we still put in time outside of rehearsals for booking, promos, and of course wood shedding - we’d expect the same out of you, too. We’re not really looking for Thundercat (that’d be cool tho), but we’re not really looking for beginners either. We’ll usually have a couple of beers at rehearsal, and we’re 420 friendly, but if you can’t keep your consumption to a reasonable level, this won’t be a good fit.
