First, whenever you find a dead opossum always check to see if it has a pouch with babies in it. If you find any babies, or young opossums that the mother may have dropped, pick them up immediately as she will not come back for them. If either of these situations have happened to you and you can't get ahold of a wildlife rehabilitationist, contact me.
