JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK — Steve Ruffin of Temecula took a hiking trip out to Joshua Tree National Park just before the most recent stay-at-home order was implemented. Lucky for us, he brought a camera and shot this breathtaking image. Here's what he had to say about it: "Of the many photos I took this past Covid year while hiking the area, the attached is probably my favorite. I took it the evening of December 2 while camping at Joshua Tree National Park — just before the shutdown. The yellow light is from the campfire behind me and you can clearly see the stars in the background. I hope you like it." We love it. Thank you Steve for reminding us of all the beauty that surrounds us. If you have an awesome photo of nature, breath-taking scenery, kids caught being kids, a pet doing something funny or something unusual you happen to catch with your camera, we'd love to feature it on Patch. We're looking for high-resolution images (horizontal preferred) that reflect the beauty that is Southern California, and that show off your unique talents. So, please: bring 'em on. Post them using our free Neighbor Post feature on the site or email to [email protected]. Thanks.
