Hello! I have two male baby Spiny Mice looking for their forever home. They are used to being handled, and are very sweet little guys! They're fairly low maintenance and don't smell like some other pets (rats, ferrets, and hamsters) do. $40 for one, or $60 takes both. Spiny mice are one of the most interesting animals on the planet, due to the unique quill-like hairs on their back. Their bellies and faces are soft like any other mouse, while their back appears similar to a hedgehog. The "quills" do NOT hurt you and are not sharp, but they have the unique ability to grow back incredibly quickly. If a predator such as a cat or dog attacks the mouse, the hair on its back falls right out so they fall out of the predator's mouth and can escape. Then the hair (any any damaged skin) grows back at incredible speed. They can heal from severe wounds in just a matter of days.
