Description
REQUEST FOR RESEARCH PARTICIPANTS AT CSU
Who is conducting the study and what is this study about?
Researchers from the psychology department at Colorado State University are recruiting participants for a study to examine how cannabis use impacts alcohol consumption, and how both of these substances impact the gut, the brain and behavior
What will I be asked to do?
You will be asked to attend a virtual consent and information session (~30 min). A laboratory appointment will take place 2 weeks later at our lab on campus (for ~1.5 hrs) where you will provide a small blood sample and complete several questionnaires. During the two weeks between sessions, we will ask you to complete a short daily survey (3 minutes/day) about your substance use and mood, and collect a simple microbiome sample. You can earn up to $73 for participating in all aspects of the study.
Who can join this study?
You can participate in this study if you are an adult (age 21-60) who drinks alcohol or uses cannabis regularly. We are also looking for control subjects who do not currently use alcohol or cannabis.
Why should I join this study?
This study serves to benefit the public by increasing our understanding of how cannabis use impacts the brain and body. The study will also give you a chance to examine your own substance use behavior.
