Description
As a Solar Electrician, you will be closely working with a set of solar crewmen in order to install and maintain residential photovoltaic (PV) systems. You will be our go-to person in all things electrical and so your primary focus will be the installation of the inverter and the associated electrical equipment (e.g., combiner box, AC disconnect, MPUs). Other common responsibilities can also include measuring, cutting, and assembling the racking system, and assisting the crewmen install the solar modules.
Job Responsibilities:
Installing and wiring inverters, AC disconnects and other equipment.
Performing meter can upgrades and service panel upgrades as needed.
Installing all components of a residential solar system, including racking and solar panels.
Bending conduit and pulling wire.
Maintaining a clean jobsite and safe working environment.
Properly using all issued personal protective equipment.
Troubleshooting and servicing existing solar systems.
Skills/Qualifications:
2+ years of residential electrical experience.
Experience in general construction or roof work preferred.
Previous solar experience is preferred but not required.
Possession of valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Must be able to successfully pass a background check.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently.
