Description
Drum circle is a gathering of people who come together to share music.
Playing rhythms together, we join with each other to form a collective voice. Rhythms and drumming techniques that come from West Africa will be taught and played upon hand drums, called djembes, which will be provided by the East End Arts. Wear comfortable clothing so you can fit a drum in between your legs, please come bare-handed: please do not wear rings to protect the skins of the drums and your fingers. Come with an open heart and the knowledge that you have your own sacred rhythm which you can share. May the resulting music open us all, WONTANARA! We Are All One!
6 to 7pm, outdoors on the green!
