Full Job Description Job Summary: Operate powered industrial trucks to load and unload materials and deliveries and move them to and from storage areas, machines, and loading docks, into railroad cars or trucks or storage facilities. These are hourly, non-exempt, full-time positions. Se Habla Español. Work Schedule: Various Days/Times Work Shift: 3rd Shift: 10 pm – 5:30 am Floater - Covers Open Shifts Pay: $19.25 or more DOE Essential Duties and Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following (may vary by customer): Loading and unloading goods from vehicles such as trucks or aircraft Moving goods packed on pallets or in crates around the storage facility Removes pallets from a trailer, stacks them and clean trailer with a pallet jack Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions Checking loads are secure Stacking empty pallets Performing daily equipment checks such as recharging the truck's battery and lubricating equipment Removing machine attachments and waste material from machines Clean and maintain building floor surfaces, including but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, degumming and spot cleaning Clean furniture, walls, glass, mirrors, fixtures, machines and other equipment (e.g. Dust, wash, vacuum, and polish) Gather and empty trash Service, clean and supply restrooms May move furniture, light fixtures or other items manually or with hand truck Execute proper use of all equipment Clean and maintain cleaning equipment per instructions (e.g. rags, mops, machines, tools and buckets) Prepare cleaning solutions (water, detergents and other chemicals) according to specifications Additional Duties and Responsibilities Perform all other duties as requested by Site Manager and/or requested by the customer and confirmed by the Site Manager Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Knowledge: General familiarity with cleaning best practices Knows how to set work priorities to work independently but can also coordinate work priorities to work as a member of a team Skills: Provide professional and prompt service Good math, language and reading skills; basic computer skills may be required A high degree of attention is required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environment Follow instructions for operating equipment and keeping records Execute assignments in an accurate, timely and safe manner Maintain a clean & safe environment Competencies: Dependability Honesty Strong work ethic Motivated Professional appearance and hygiene Communication skills Team player Educational Qualifications/Job Experience Requirements Experience: Must successfully pass a background check and may be required to pass a drug test depending on the location being serviced Building and warehouse cleaning and maintenance work Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Schedule: Regular day, evenings and nights, including weekends and holidays (schedule and hours of work will depend on assignment) The physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
