Circle Forest Programs- Meadow and Pollinator Walk

Detroit Audubon is partnering with Arboretum Detroit and Detroit Future City to offer birding workshops and events at Circle Forest in 2022 and 2023. Join us for a Meadow and Pollinator Walk led by pollinator expert Meredith Holm from US Fish and Wildlife. We will meet at Circle Forest (3301 Palmer St Detroit, at the corner of Elmwood St and Palmer St) to begin our walk. We will be walking over to Callahan Park to walk the meadow loop. Along our walk Meredith will share information about the meadow installation process, native prairie plants and our most popular pollinators. This is great opportunity to learn more about how you can support these species at home and in your community. We will provide binoculars for anyone who would like to borrow them. There is a porta-john onsite at Circle Forest. Sign up through Eventbrite is not required but it is helpful for us to get an idea of the number of participants. We will be outside but still encourage wearing a mask if desired. If you have any Covid-19 symptoms or have been exposed to anyone with Covid-19, please stay home.
