Description

Your vegetable harvest doesn't need to end with the turning of the season at the end of Summer. With the right planning and care you can harvest a bounty of vegetables from your home garden right on through the cold, dark, and rainy months! What's more, you don't need a greenhouse, cold frames, or any fancy tools to make it happen. Timing is everything with Winter gardens and despite what you might think, the time to plant Fall/Winter vegetables is not the Fall or Winter. ...It's NOW! During this hands-on workshop at our Demonstration Garden we will discuss which vegetables thrive during the 'off-season,' and when and how to plant them to ensure a year round harvest. Kale, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Cabbage, Collard Greens, Chard, Spinach, Arugula, Lettuce, Carrots, Beets, Turnips, Radishes, Parsnips, Leeks, Garlic, Parsley, ...The list goes on! Don't miss out on a Winter harvest this year! Come on down to the PEG Garden and we'll set you up right.
