This bridge will serve as a memorial to all who served post 9/11 in the Global War on Terror, with special regard to the fallen, and will be the first of its kind in Ipswich, and the vicinity. The High Street Bridge on RT 1A between (Town Farm Road & Kimball Avenue) is a prominent bridge, the ideal and fitting location to memorialize sacrifice and acknowledge service over the past 20+ years of the Global War on Terror. • Special recognition to the 200 of the over 7000 fallen in the Global War on Terror, who were from Massachusetts, and to their surviving Gold Star families still reside in Massachusetts, some in Essex County in and around Ipswich.
