The North Central region boasts several full service organizations for critical needs. But social, cultural, physical, and environmental barriers prevent many residents from accessing these organizations directly. You are invited to this planning meeting with CHNA9 members who are currently providing critical needs services to our communities. Over breakfast, we will obtain a better understanding of:
a) Current practice models
b) Barriers individuals/communities face to receiving services
c) Gap communities
d) How can the CHNA9 support your organization?
e) What resources do you need?
The outcome of this meeting will be a working committee that will:
1. Research evidence-based models of systems for access to critical needs services to determine those most likey to succeed in North Central Massachusetts
2. Recommend mechanisms to connect smaller points of service to larger comprehensive centers
3. Identify creative alternatives for improving services for those not connected with public benefits/assistance
Special dietary restrictions or accessibility needs such as interpreting can be accommodated upon request. Please contact Ayn Yeagle at [email protected].
