This is a long-term career opportunity that will be snatched up quickly! You’ll start in our warehouse as a delivery driver helping with shipping, receiving and warehouse operations. As you become more knowledgeable about windows and doors, we’ll provide more training and responsibility to work in the field repairing, replacing and installing windows and doors. Every situation is different and there is a lot to learn! Therefore, this position has a progressive training plan to help you become fully proficient. The perfect candidate for us is someone who is mechanically inclined and looking for a long-term career. Once you’ve demonstrated the ability and interest, we’ll provide advanced training, such as: ● Product training for various products sold (Marvin, Velux, Andersen etc.) ● Parallel field training on window and door service and repairs with experienced staff So you don’t need to know anything about windows and doors at the beginning because we will teach you! What you’ll do: There are 4 main priorities to this position: ● Strong working knowledge of product assembly and field installation/ service ● Ability to deliver window and door products ● Proactive approach to Customer Service Program ● Maintain positive professional customer service attitude Responsibilities include but aren’t limited to: ● Windows Products: -Continue to develop in depth working knowledge of product for service and delivery demand.-Service & assemble window systems as scheduled. -Understand product components to easily recognize when items need to be pulled from stock. -Assist unloading of vendor shipments on a regular basis. -Regularly update warehouse inventory. ● Assist with customer field service & maintenance of product ● Support maintenance of warehouse housekeeping as well as BBLS storefront & showroom upkeep. ● Procedures for delivery of window systems to client -Verification of order completeness at time of delivery. Backordered items noted clearly. -Load client projects in accordance with schedule and verify documentation. -Collect customer approval at time of delivery.Signature, printed name and date. -Delivery of client project and complete project tracking documentation ● Operate vehicles and power equipment including: -Follow OSHA safety standards. -Perform pre trip safety check. -Regular vehicle maintenance report. ● Carry assigned phone during work hours- be available to answer company related phone calls. ● Wear Bruce Bauer approved company apparel. Qualifications you need: ● You must be mechanically inclined. Ideally you have work experience that demonstrates your mechanical aptitude. This may include being a carpenter or carpentry skills, being a mechanic or working on cars, working in the construction industry, etc. ● You must be physically fit. Meet the physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to, being able to routinely bend, lift, and carry very heavy (80lbs or more) windows, patio, and entry doors. ● You need to be able to drive a pick-up truck and box truck. This means you’ll need a driver’s license and a good driving record. ● Have a proven track record demonstrating a customer service orientation. Customer Service is our priority in all the things we do. ● Ability to follow directions and being in a “learning role” for quite some time until you get fully trained. This is a multi-year process!
