We are a local 501 (c) 3 cat adoption group. We test, fix, vaccinate, and microchip kittens and cats and find them loving, indoor homes. As we trap in the community, some of the cats we trap cannot be safely released back to where they were living and/or some of the kittens are trapped when they are too old to tame and prefer minimal contact with humans. We do not deliver just a single cat. They must be placed in pairs at the minimum as they are very social with other cats and watch out for each other. These kitties have been fixed and received cat distemper and rabies vaccinations - proof provided. However, this situation is a little different. Right now we have one female needing a barn/warehouse home. She does not like other cats. She is not feral but has no manners at all. She will nip at you if you try to touch or pick her up. She will casually reach out with her claws to snag you as you're going by. Her name is Grumpycat for a reason! She is a tuxy (see photo - blinking at the camera flash) and just over a year old. She will always need shelter, food, and water 24/7. (She does not need to be 'hungry' to go after mice, rats, etc.) How it works (unless you have a tack room, shed, secure work building): we bring a huge crate out. The food and water and the litter box are at the front separated by a cardboard "wall." The crate is covered on the top and three sides so kitties feel safe. She stays in there for two weeks so she bonds to her new home. After two weeks, the door is opened so she can come and go as she pleases - but the crate stays there as "home base" until she finds other places she likes. One week later we return to pick up the crate. We deliver in Sacramento County and surrounding areas; have delivered cats to Auburn, Pleasant Grove, Sloughhouse, Wheatland, and Dixon, etc. Minimal fee applies.
