Mobile's infrastructure sectors have attracted substantial investment that will lead to large-scale capital projects. To harness this unique opportunity, Vivian's Door and Interise are proudly presenting Leadership in Equitable Anchor Procurement (LEAP), an initiative designed for procurement leaders, small business owners, capital providers, and capacity builders to redefine together how the local procurement system can work to increase the volume of mutually beneficial business-to-business contract opportunities between Mobile's infrastructure agencies and Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises. We know your involvement is key to the success of this initiative, which invites these four stakeholder groups to come together during a one-day workshop to identify the most significant blockages in the local procurement system and agree on ways to remove or reduce them. At the end of the LEAP workshop, each stakeholder commits to a next step towards systemic change and is invited to join a community of practice to exchange best practices, provide accountability, and to monitor progress. David Stroh from Bridgeway Partners, leaders in using systems thinking, mapping, and dynamics to deepen social and economic impact will facilitate the convening.
