Hello all - my family dog Oliver is 18 years old. He’s had dementia for a couple years now, and it’s gotten increasingly worse the past few few months. He barks day and night. It’s taken a huge toll on my mom and I. We took him to the vet to see if he is suffering, but they said no, it’s just his dementia. We do not feel it’s morally right to euthanize him if he is not suffering, even at his age. We don’t know how much time he has left, but we are seeking a foster home for the rest of his life.
