Tool Repair and Testing Technician Job Description: Tool Repair Technician- Field Inspection Some travel required No vaccine or mask requirements Office hours: 40 hours per week 6:30 am to 3:00 pm ½ hour for lunch Monday through Friday *Sign-on bonuses: $500 bonus after completion of first 30 days consecutive service **$750 bonus after completion of first 90 days of consecutive service ***Additional hourly pay increase after completion of 90 days service Physical and Job Skill Requirements: Punctual Customer Service and Detail Oriented Hand and Power Tool use Hand tools (non-powered) Basic Computer ability Self starter and pride in work Follow and listed to instructions and training Read and Speak fluent English Must be able to lift 60 pounds. Clean Driving Record and Valid Driver’s License. Understanding of basic electricity principle helpful but not required Training will be provided in-house for all skills and service expectations. No prior experience or field experience necessary. Desire and willingness to learn are necessary. General Duties: The position will fill a general need for several departments. Employee will be cross trained for the following tasks: - Repair, Service, and Testing of Hot Line Tools used for electrical insulation by Utility Linemen. Repaired tools include voltage detectors, hoists, hot line tools, grounds and jumpers. -Use of hand tools and following safety guidelines are required. -In-Field Inspection and Testing of Hot Line Tools: may require weekday travel and some overnight stays as needed. You will begin as an field assistant to testing lead and work towards field test lead role. - Dedication to accuracy, detail and end-user safety - Sanding, inspection, preparation and painting of utility-based fiberglass PPE tools - Assembly and calibration of PPE tools - Daily and periodic maintenance of equipment and workplace - Inspection of incoming raw materials for consistency and quality - Organization of workflow related to customer expectations and deadlines - Ability to work independently and efficiently in coordination with team goals - Ability to work in the field at customer sites. May require some flexibility in schedule. Additional compensation included. • Stringent adherence to OSHA requirements regarding chemicals, PPE, documentation and workplace safety • Adaptation to dynamic work environment Do you have: Experience in auto body or finish carpentry painting?
