Description
Hello! We are a small commercial groundskeeping company in Austin and San Antonio and we’re growing fast and expanding! We’ve been in business for almost 7 years and need help with installing, repairing, & maintaining irrigation systems. (mainly repair/maintenance) A full knowledge of all various components - especially on large commercial systems - is absolutely required and essential. Our projects consist of all basic maintenance/groundskeeping tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, trimming hedges and shrub trees, raking, blowing, mulching, etc., so if you are multi-skilled and have experience in landscaping/grounds maintenance, even better. Also, we highly value individuals experienced and multi-skilled in Turf installation, hardscaping, operating bobcats/skid steers and dingos, driving/hauling trailers of various sizes & loads, etc etc. Work will always be 30-40 hours per week. Sometimes on the lower side, sometimes on the higher side (sometimes LOTS more hours) - mainly depending on weather and how hard you work, your willingness to take on extra projects, work extra days, etc. Since this is temporary (a trial period to determine if you will join the family full-time), you will start out as a 1099 INDEPENDENT CONTRACTOR. Pay completely depends on experience obviously, and we pay every Friday for the week you just worked! (So if you work Mon-Fri, then Fri afternoon you get a check for that day/week’s work.) No one I know of out there offers IMMEDIATE PAY - except for day labor. Obviously if you are a badass and an expert with specialized knowledge and skills, then advancement in the company and higher pay will be a possibility and you will be rewarded. And as stated before, even with absolutely zero knowledge, but with a hard work ethic and desire to learn and excel, then advancement in the company and higher pay will be a given and you too will be rewarded. Again, RAISES and FULL-TIME EMPLOYMENT are incredibly likely, if you do your job and do it well, and we all get along. We PAY CONTINUOUSLY, meaning that drive time, breaks, and even lunch time are all included in your pay. If you start the day with the crew at the first site at 7 and end at 6, then you scored 11 hours for one day’s work, even though actual work time was more likely 6-7 hours. Not bad. I also pay bonuses when I see good work, sacrifices made, help acquiring new business (HUGE bonuses there), and an overall family ownership mentality. No one currently working for me has ever been paid exactly what we originally agreed upon - meaning every single week there’s been a bonus of some kind. Small or large, there’s always been extra money and appreciation. That’s how I operate. I’ve busted my ass for greedy people with empty promises and I know how hard it is out there. I’ve promised myself I’d NEVER do that to someone else. With my company…. our company…. we go to the top together and everyone gets a slice of the pie. Once again, once we decide to make you PERMANENT FAMILY with our crews, then a nice PAY INCREASE with seasonal evaluations (Raises) will occur. *** Something To Look Forward To *** Our CREW LEADERS aren’t just drivers, but also help to manage the company. If you’re promoted to crew leader, then not only is there a nice PAY INCREASE, but it becomes a BASE PAY / SALARY and you get paid even if it’s storming outside and you stay at home in your pajamas. So definitely something to look forward to and work towards. A FEW REQUIREMENTS: * Must have reliable transportation to meet with the crew daily. (Having an HD truck that can haul a trailer, and knowing how to drive with a trailer is a HUGE plus!) * Must be able to lift 25-75lbs consistently * Must be fine working in all seasons (hot and humid in the summer, cold and rainy in the winter) * Must be able to work a full schedule - no part-timers * Must be drug-free * Must be drama-free. We don’t need you bringing all sorts of craziness and negativity around. We’re a positive family. We support each other and try to bring out the best in everyone around. If you’re still reading through this and think you’d be a fit in a positive, tight-knit family that takes care of each other and pulls for the individual success and best for each person, then email or text me explaining why you’d like to join the team, and what makes you different from everyone else out there applying. I’ll get right back with you to figure out if we can get you going ASAP. Be blessed and I look forward to hearing from you! Matthew
