Lost & Found Associate - JFK John F. BASIC FUNCTION Perform activities in accordance with company standards. Quality service being defined in terms of excellent customer service, cash handling and safety. Reuniting customers with lost items found at the terminal. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Understanding of how to read airline & flight information including but not limited to flight information display system (FIDS), airline tickets, & itineraries. Collect lost and found items found within the terminal and process promptly. Calculate and forward found items to customers by way of shipping. Track shipments to ensure they are delivered to customer. Provide excellent customer service and attention to detail. Maintain high ethical standards and professionalism. Multitask and prioritize as necessary to meet customer needs. Represent the company with integrity and dedication. Other duties as assigned. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Excellent office and computer skills Computer and Smart Phone proficient Strong organizational, communication and verbal skills Ability to project a professional and knowledgeable demeanor Cash handling experience Good problem solving and decision-making ability Excellent oral and written communications skills Basic math skills Must be fluent in English both speech and writing skills Bi or Multilingual preferred EXPERIENCE Proven customer service skills. General knowledge of JFK Airport and its Terminals. Experience in a customer-facing role. EDUCATION: High school diploma required CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES Ability to get Airport Badge is required PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be able to stand and walk for duration of shift Experience Required Excellent office and computer skills Basic math skills Cash handling experience Customer Service skills Education Required High School or better Licenses & Certifications Required Airport Badge Skills Required Decision Making Problem Solving Computer Customer Service Communication Behaviors Required Detail Oriented: Capable of carrying out a given task with all details necessary to get the task done well Team Player: Works well as a member of a group
