SMALL SHOP NEEDS HELPER

Looking for a motivated individual to work in sheet metal. No experience necessary, we will teach you. The shop is open from 6;45 am to 4;45pm monday - friday on normal days. We do work late, early and on weekends when needed by customers. This happens more so in the warmer months but can happen anytime. Basically this is a small shop and some times we get emergency orders that need to be done fast and we try to help out in any way we can. O.T. is always time and a half. There is two 15 minute breaks paid, one in the morning and one in the afternoon along with a 1 hour lunch you will not be paid for. Standard weeks are 45 hours. We do offer vacation and sick pay after a year. Pay day is Every Friday a week after the week you start. You get paid this week for last week. 14 dollars to start per hour. DO NOT CALL OR EMAIL. Come in person ready to work if possible. Now that's out of the way basically we are looking for a trustworthy person that is enthusiastic about learning a trade and possibly a career. Being on time is a must. This is a fulltime position. It is important to be a reliable person we can count on as well as to be able to get along with other workers. It is a fun shop for the most place. Now for the major stuff. Apply in person, do not call we are too busy to screen calls and work at the same time. - Must be at least 18 years of age because of insurance - Must be able to lift 60lbs over and over - Must be able to do simple math to know how many sheets of metal to cut to make certain amounts of product ect. (Fractions are important) addition, subtraction, division and later you will learn how to layout things unless you already know of course. We have a cheat sheet you can copy if your rusty or still learning but you need to have a concept of it or it will just be a struggle. - MUST BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE (in bold because this is what we use all day.) There will be a small test when hired about reading a tape measure. Its the main thing this job requires besides being here regularly.
