QUALIFICATIONS Education High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Familiarity with hand tools is preferred but not required. Employee must demonstrate proficiency on the following tools within 90 days; Hand / air screw driver, nut driver, tape machine, adjustable wrench, cable tie gun, wire cutter/stripper/crimper, hammer, hand and air ratchet, needle nose pliers, torque wrench, torque gun, knife, scissors, tape measure, ring pliers, vice grip, vice, hand press, hose cutter, tap, banding machine, rivet gun, lift table, air chunks, air impact, stapler, foam gun, nail gun, heat gun, electric drill, and scrapper. Ability to work around heavy machinery and forklifts. Language Skills Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words in English and recognized similarities and difference between words and between series of number. Ability to print and speak simple sentences Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. PHYSICAL DEMANDS While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and reach with arms and hands. Standing for 8 hours and frequent walking required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
