This recurring, members-only event offers a chance to network with some of Downtown’s top leaders in business, real estate, government, and more. Enjoy meals catered by local restaurants and make new professional connections on your lunch break. Lunch with DPOB is free to attend for Downtown Partnership members. On July 27, the lunch will be capped by a historic walking tour of Downtown, led by Johns W. Hopkins of Baltimore Heritage. ABOUT THE WALKING TOURThe Rebirth of Downtown from the 1904 Fire to Charles Center to TodayThe way downtown Baltimore looks and functions today is no accident. Major events including the Great Fire in 1904, the creation of Charles Center in the 1960s, and urban renewal programs from the 1970s to today shape the sidewalks we use, the buildings we inhabit, the stores and offices we frequent, and much more. Join Baltimore Heritage director Johns W. Hopkins for a 25 minute walk to learn more about how yesterday's immigrants, bankers, business people, and civic leaders created the downtown we know today.
