Kirsty Cox first came to Danville in June to record for the upcoming PBS series The Life of a Musician with host Brandon Lee Adams. We loved Kristy and Kristy loved us. She and her band will make a return appearance here in the Old West End for a Blues and Bluegrass Roaring 20s Speakeasy / house party on Saturday, October 1. Password required and Gatsby / 20s dress strongly encouraged. Enjoy her performance in one of the Old West End's finest historic homes. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer, wine, and bathtub gin begin at 6:30, performance begins at 7:00. Tickets are tax deductible and benefit the historic district's nonprofit Friends of the Old West End. Billboard topping artist Kristy Cox has just released her new album ‘Shades of Blue’ following her latest award winning releases ‘No Headlights’ and ‘Ricochet.’ Kristy has been awarded five ‘Bluegrass Recording of the Years’ in the Australia’s CMA Awards (Golden Guitar Awards), her latest in 2021. From a young age, Kristy has captured attention with her distinct singing style and positive outlook, going on to open shows for major acts and appearing on television and major festivals across Australia, Europe and the USA.
