Landscape and Lawn Care Position

Jobs

Bend OR

Description

Small landscaping and lawn care company located in Bend, OR is looking to hire a new employee. The job begins ASAP and is guaranteed to run through November, plus additional snow removal work in the winter. This job is physically demanding - you’ll be working outside in all of the elements, walking many miles behind a mower, loading and unloading the trailer at each job site, carrying debris buckets, shoveling rock, mulch, and more. I’ve built this company from the ground up through extremely hard work and dedication and I’m looking for someone who is equally as tough, efficient, and enjoys seeing results at the end of the day. I’m happy to assist in teaching the ways, but ultimately I’d like to hire someone that doesn’t need me looking over their every move. My goal for this position is that you become my top employee and run your own truck, trailer, and routes next year (2023). Pay: Dependent on Experience (Paid weekly at the end of the work day on Fridays) When Will You Work: Monday – Fridays, 7:45am – 4:00pm (typical work day) • Plan to arrive at my location at 7:45am to load up the trailer and depart for our first job • Most days, we will arrive back at my location by 4:00pm. Some days may be longer for big jobs, but I will inform you of these days in advance, as much as I can. What We’re Looking For: • Someone who shows up on time every day and wants to be working outside. Some days are simple and smooth doing regular lawn care maintenance and some days are tougher when we remove lawns and install rocks/mulches/etc. • Someone who is respectful of my business, my clients, and themselves. I expect you to wear the proper attire each day, no cell phone usage while at a client property (plenty of time in-between properties for that) • Must have at least basic experience in lawn care and proper usage of edgers, weed eaters, mowers, backpack blowers, core aerators, dethatch machines, etc. • Be able to identify and pull weeds, spray weed control, and spread fertilizer • Must be able to carry out verbal instructions independently and make decisions based on my direction • Irrigation experience is a plus. • Must have a valid driver’s license • Do not contact me if you’re looking for an easy paycheck, this is the wrong field for that. What To Wear: • Safety green work shirt (will be provided) • Khaki pants or work shorts in the heat of the summer • Work boots (no sneakers) How To Apply: • Reply to this ad with your resume and at least one job reference. • Any additional information about past experience, why you’d be good for this job, or why you want this job is a bonus. • Interviews will be conducted ASAP, as I’d like to have someone hired by the beginning of August.
