Hey, I'm a vocalist (contralto), songwriter and pianist looking for collaborators. I also play some guitar and a few other instruments, but it's the former things that I'm super comfortable with. I'm tired of playing music on my own and would just love to meet people to jam with and maybe eventually write and perform with. I've found the isolation of the pandemic killer for creativity outside my tiny little insular vacuum of interest, and am eager to meet some local musicians so I can start to feel inspired again. I'm pretty new to LA, so eager to meet other musical folks. I've been living in a very folky vacuum as of late, but am very interested in many genres. I grew up listening to a lot of soul music, a lot of punk, a lot of early-mid-aughts indie and would really enjoy meeting some badasses who can push me away from my super folky acoustic focus. I've been getting into shoegaze and post-punk lately, too. But I will also eternally love folky, fallen-into-the-swamp, leather boots-by-the-highway, lost soul Americana, so hit me up if that's your thing, because deep down I just love that stuff. Some combination of any of the above would be great. Or perhaps something else. I love learning new things. I would especially love to meet other female musicians, because it's extremely tiring receiving creepy messages from men. If you are a non-creepy man who is genuinely interested in collaborating, feel free to send a message too, but I will ignore your message if there are any hints of ulterior motives. As I said, it's extraordinarily tiring. Age-wise, I'm mostly looking to collaborate with people of a similar age (let's say 25-40?), but if you're a badass grandma with the vocal stylings of a killer whale and greek goddess put together, I will not say no.
