Description

The Memorial Crane Project was created and launched in 2020 to commemorate lives lost toCOVID-19 by artist Karla Funderburk. Her vision is to hold space with hand-folded origami cranes contributed by volunteers from around the world totaling over 190,000 cranes. At Campbell Hall visitors can contemplatively walk through a labyrinth of 15,000 cranes some of which were folded by students here Campbell Hall. On Saturday June 25 from 3pm to 6pm you are invited to walk through the installation, fold origami cranes, see names of lives lost, hear stories of surviving family members, and learn more from Karla Funderburk and Campbell Hall's Katie Bull. Beverages will be available. We welcome contributions to this 501c3 to the support the mission of bringing installations to more communities.
